Must I be a registered nurse?
To become a ShadowNurse, you must be a fully licensed registered nurse (RN) in the United States
What is a ShadowNurse?
ShadowNurses are healthcare navigators and so much more! We are a team of passionate nurses on a mission to ensure that patients everywhere get the best care possible. We are healthcare savvy, advocacy oriented, technology ready, and have an innovative and disruptive mindset that gives us the power to make real change, both at the patient and the system levels. We strive to work at the top of our licenses, recognizing that we are a depended on and highly trusted professional workforce with possession of all the attributes needed to truly improve patient outcomes. We excel in our ability to assess a vast array of situations, communicate complex information, escalate appropriate issues, and partner with providers, caregivers and other stakeholders across the healthcare continuum.
What is being a ShadowNurse like?
All positions are remote, such that you can work from home or any other suitable location
Positions are contractor status for now, with the goal of providing employment options, benefits, company stock, and other perks in the future
Hours are intended to be flexible (and largely at your own discretion)
Pay is typically based on panel size (ie. number of active patients)
You will not be practicing medicine (you will receive proper training related to this)
Is ShadowNurse a startup?
Yes! We were co-founded by an RN/NP and an MD who have over 40 years of combined clinical and health technology experience. We are mission driven to ensure that patients everywhere get the best care possible and that ShadowNurses become the central and most important agents driving change in healthcare. Working for a startup requires that you have patience and flexibility, but also affords you the rewarding opportunity to help shape the future of the company.
How many positions are available and how many applicants will you consider?
There are a limited number of positions today, but we anticipate rapid growth with increasing patient demand. In anticipation of growth, we are building proprietary technology that will allow us to onboard, train, and support hundreds, if not thousands, of high-volume ShadowNurse panels in the very near future. On top of that, we are now offering a free training and onboarding opportunity called "The ShadowNurse Experience" to all applicants, which you can choose to be a part of if you would like to learn and/or hone skills that will help make you a top future candidate as positions open up. Because of these factors, we are not putting any cap on the number of qualified applicants that we will accept and review.

Qualifications:
US Licensed registered nurse, in good standing
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with remote work and team communication platforms such as Slack, Zoom, Google Workplace
Attention to detail
Self-motivated
