Nurse Manager $10,000 SIGN ON BONUS

SIGN ON BONUS: $10,000.00

The sign on bonus is prorated and is scheduled to be paid at $5,000.00 upon completion of 90 day probationary period in good standing. An additional $5000.00 at the 6 month mark of employment.

Note: The bonus is processed in accordance with regular payroll timelines and subject to all applicable taxes.

Important: If you voluntarily leave the company within 12 months of receiving each payment, you are required to repay the full amount of the bonus to the company. If permitted by law, the company may deduct the maximum amount permitted from your final paycheck.

Summary:

The Nursing Manager oversees the nursing staff and overall nursing department. His/Her duties include evaluating and directing all nursing employees, establishing goals for the nursing department, and creating and enforcing compliant healthcare policies.

The Nursing Manager is responsible for ensuring all nursing personnel are always performing productively and efficiently. The Nursing Manager builds training programs and operating policies that help the nursing staff meet goals that improve the overall performance of the healthcare facility.

The Nursing Manager ensures the department budget is followed and considered when ordering new supplies and making any other financial decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervising all nursing staff
  • Overseeing department budgets
  • Reporting to higher management in the healthcare facilities
  • Maintaining high standards of care for all patients
  • Managing patients’ data and medical records as confidential records
  • Communicating with doctors, patients, and family members about patient health
  • Maintains the nursing guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
  • Hiring, supervising, reviewing, and terminating nursing staff as needed.
  • Providing ongoing education classes
  • Implementing new procedures and training Nurses on policies
  • Models a service-oriented culture
  • Ensures Regulatory and Policy Compliance
  • Maintains nursing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training nurses and auxiliary staff.
  • Completes patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing and staff.
  • Maintains nursing staff by coaching, counseling, and disciplining through monitoring and appraising nurses’ job performance.
  • Provides information to patients and the health care team by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by designing health procedures and protocols.
  • Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information and participating in team-building exercises.

  • Completes inventory/ordering of all medical supplies and medications while following department budgetary guidelines.
  • Understanding of supply management, staffing, and standards of care. Proven leadership, personnel mgmt., and physician relations skills. Responsible for directing, coordinating, and controlling all operating functions, processes, and staff.
  • Facilitating and solving disputes and boundary issues with clients and/or co-workers.

Job Requirements:

  • BSN or ASN completed from an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Active RN license in good standing
  • 1-year prior experience in a hospital and/or mental health setting preferred
  • Certified BLS provider current or able to obtain within 1 month of hire
  • Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • Professional appearance, aptitude, and attitude
  • Impeccable ethics, integrity, and customer relation skills
  • Computer literacy and ability to use an EMR (Kipu)
  • Knowledge of "best practices" behavioral medicine treatment delivery and methodologies
  • Sound clinical judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to understand the requirements of clientele
  • Outstanding bedside manner
  • Ability to provide leadership
  • Proficient in medical terminology
  • Detail-oriented
  • Minimum 5 years full-time or equivalent clinical experience; at least 2 years' experience in nursing supervision required.
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Proof of Insurance
  • Required competencies: Glucometer, UDS, Pregnancy Tests, Breathalyzer, Vital Signs, and Medication Administration.


Physical Requirements:

  • Mobility - Twist, Bend, Stoop/squat, Move quickly (respond to emergency), Climb stairs, Walk, Stand
  • Hearing - Hear normal speaking level sounds (person-to-person), Hear faint body sounds (blood pressures, lung sounds, heart sounds, placement of tubes), Hear in situations when not able to see mouth (when masks are being used), Hear alarms (monitors, fire alarms, code alarms)
  • Visual - See information up to 24 inches away (monitors, computer screens, skin conditions), See objects up to 20 feet away (patient in room), Use depth perception, Use of peripheral vision, Distinguish color and color intensity (flushed, as colored, or pale skin, color of labels)
  • Endurance - Walk long distances (transfer patient, etc.), Stand (at patient's side during surgery or therapeutic procedure, etc.), Sustain repetitive movement (CPR compressions, bagging, etc.), Maintain physical tolerance (stand/walk/work on your feet for 8-12 hours at a time with minimal breaks)
  • Strength - Push and pull 50 pounds (position patient, move equipment, etc.), Support 50 pounds of weight (ambulate patient, assist to bedside toilet, etc.) with assistance, Lift 50 pounds (transfer a patient, etc.) with assistance, Carry equipment/supplies, Use upper body strength (CPR, physically restrain patient, etc.), Squeeze with hands (operate fire extinguisher)
  • Other - Reach above shoulders/overhead, Reach below the waist (electrical plugs, etc.), Reach in front (assist patient with arms out), Pick up objects with hands, Grasp small objects with hands (IV tubing, pencils, electrode patches, etc.), Write with pen, Use computer (type), Pinch/pick or otherwise work with fingers (use syringe, etc.), Twist at waist, Twist wrists/hands (turn objects/knobs using hands), Squeeze with fingers (eye droppers, bulb syringes, ear bulb, etc.)
