Job Title: North America Key Account Manager

Contract Type: Full time

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Hybrid Hoboken, NJ office (3 days/week)


POSITION SUMMARY

The INKEY List is seeking a North America Account Manager to lead our retailer partnerships across North America. The INKEY List is distributed in the US, Canada, and Mexico. This role is responsible for strategically developing our omni-channel business, managing account planning, negotiating brand presence and go-to market plans, maximizing sell-in, aiding in business analysis and sales forecasting, and inventory planning and management.This is a critical role within the North America organization.

Direct Reports- Sales Administration and Demand Planning Coordinator


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Management and Brand Building

  • Develop strong, reciprocal relationships with the respective merchant teams across Sephora accounts. Own and manage these relationships on a daily basis.
  • Manage the wholesale omni-channel businesses within North America, driving specific strategies for brick and mortar and retailer.coms
  • In partnership with Trade Marketing and Sales, develop and negotiate go-to-market strategies and tactics to drive and sustain momentum for the brand, grow our brand profile, and increase rank/market share
  • Develop a profitable, annual growth plan that supports brand, core products and new launches in alignment with company objectives.
  • Help input into product assortment based on global brand plans and localized market performance.
  • Identify new business opportunities.

Retail Strategy

  • Partner with Field Sales leader and Field team to build door mappings and sales/productivity targets
  • Partner with Brand and Trade Marketing teams and Education on consumer acquisition and retention strategies, setting and tracking annual targets
  • Business Analysis
  • Collaborate with head of Field Sales to create sales plans for the wholesale business including weekly plans by door through to long term annual plans
  • Identify and escalate risks/opportunities to sales plans at both SKU and account levels
  • Provide monthly commentary on Sell In and Sell Out actuals to finance

Sales Administration and Demand Planning

  • Oversee publication of weekly Sell In and Sell Out reporting for North America wholesale
  • Direct the correct publication and utilization of data across all internal channels
  • Set the tone and nurture the direct relationships with retailer inventory planning teams
  • Oversee processing of all purchase orders from receipt to shipment
  • Oversee reporting accuracy for returns, damages, testers, inventory cuts, and compliance issues


EXPERIENCE PROFILE

  • 5-6+ years of relevant work experience in account management, sales, consulting, analytics/business analysis
  • Experience working in consumer goods (beauty experience a plus, Sephora experience strongly preferred).
  • Bachelors degree (MBA a plus.)


SKILLSET

  • Strong analytical skills, including data storytelling
  • Experience working with and understanding a P&L for a consumer goods business
  • Inventory planning know-how
  • Understands market dynamics within North America prestige beauty retail
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
