The Workforce Development And Lifelong Learning Department Of Middlesex College Invites Applications For Part-time, Non-credit Instructors To Teach The Following Course During The 2023-2024 Academic Year
Electrocardiograph (ECG/EKG) Technician
Important: Please note that a non-credit instructor is not an adjunct position. Successful candidates teach courses in the Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Department.
Primary Responsibilities: The ability to teach 60 hours (5 days a week, during the day for 5 hours a day for 12 sessions) which includes the following subject areas:
Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical Terminology
Safe and Accurate use of the EKG device: including basic trouble shooting and interpretation of EKG rhythms
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous teaching experience
Experience teaching adult learners
Three (3) years of experience working as an ECG/EKG clinical supervisor or technician
Ability to teach in Edison, New Brunswick, or Perth Amboy
Current certification as an ECG/EKG Technician or as a provider requiring ECG/EKG skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience teaching in higher education
