Non-Credit Instructor - ECG - EKG Technician

The Workforce Development And Lifelong Learning Department Of Middlesex College Invites Applications For Part-time, Non-credit Instructors To Teach The Following Course During The 2023-2024 Academic Year

  • Electrocardiograph (ECG/EKG) Technician

Important: Please note that a non-credit instructor is not an adjunct position. Successful candidates teach courses in the Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Department.

Primary Responsibilities: The ability to teach 60 hours (5 days a week, during the day for 5 hours a day for 12 sessions) which includes the following subject areas:

  • Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical Terminology
  • Safe and Accurate use of the EKG device: including basic trouble shooting and interpretation of EKG rhythms

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous teaching experience
  • Experience teaching adult learners
  • Three (3) years of experience working as an ECG/EKG clinical supervisor or technician
  • Ability to teach in Edison, New Brunswick, or Perth Amboy
  • Current certification as an ECG/EKG Technician or as a provider requiring ECG/EKG skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience teaching in higher education

WDLL is current seeking an ECG/EKG Technician instructor to teach in person, days at the Edison, New Brunswick, or Perth Amboy campuses. Please note that this is a pooled position for instructors. Completed applications will enable hiring officials to contact you when a hiring need arises.
