Company Overview: Sanctuary Medicinals is a leading cannabis cultivation and production facility based in Littleton, Massachusetts. Committed to producing high-quality cannabis products, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Lead to oversee non-cannabis inventory at our cultivation site. This is a critical role that ensures the smooth operation of our facility and supports the growth of our business.

Position Overview: As the Inventory Lead (Non-Cannabis) at Sanctuary Medicinals, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining an accurate and organized inventory system for all non-cannabis supplies and materials used in our cultivation operations. Your responsibilities will encompass inventory tracking, procurement, vendor management, and ensuring that essential resources are readily available to support the cultivation process. You will collaborate closely with various departments to streamline inventory processes and contribute to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement inventory management procedures and best practices for non-cannabis supplies, equipment, and materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels, track usage patterns, and forecast future needs to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
  • Regularly update and maintain accurate inventory records using appropriate inventory management software or tools.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to order and replenish non-cannabis inventory in a timely manner, ensuring consistent supply availability.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand inventory requirements and optimize inventory levels based on demand and usage patterns.
  • Conduct routine audits to verify inventory accuracy and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Develop and implement inventory reporting mechanisms to provide insights into inventory turnover, cost control, and utilization rates.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard non-cannabis inventory against theft, damage, or loss.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies related to inventory management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (2+ years) in inventory management, preferably within a manufacturing, cultivation, or similar environment.
  • Self-starter takes initiative and thinks proactively.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.
  • Ability to troubleshoot & Implement processes.
  • Ability to work well and collaborate with others.
  • Self-Starting/Autonomous

  • Ability to adapt to ongoing or sudden changes.
  • Strong Communication Skills (Email and in person)
  • Computer Proficient; Knowledgeable in basic computer functions and Microsoft Office especially Excel. (Biotrack experience a plus)
  • Basic math skills (Addition, subtraction, multiplication)
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (6-8 hours at times)
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions (Warm, Cold, Rain, Snow, Mud)
  • Ability to work on ladders and manlifts (Heights up to 15ft)
  • Ability to work overtime if needed.
  • Shipping, Receiving or warehouse experience.
  • Inventory / Inventory Auditing Experience
  • Quality Control Experience
  • Forklift / Man Lift Certification or ability to be certified
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of cannabis industry regulations and practices (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and evolving industry.
  • Ability to work in an environment with kief in the air.
  • Ability to lift 50+lbs with or without accommodation.
