NSV Associate Role Overview

In this role, you will be a vital member of our investment team, contributing to all stages of the investment process from deal origination to portfolio management. You will work closely with senior team members and interact with entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and other key stakeholders. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting high-growth companies. You will gain hands-on experience in venture debt investing and develop a deep understanding of the venture ecosystem.

 

What Role Might You Play and Desired Skillset

·       Deal Origination and Sourcing: You will identify and evaluate new investment opportunities, conduct market research and analysis, and build relationships with venture capital firms and entrepreneurs.

o   Strong networking and relationship-building abilities, proficiency in market research and analysis.

 

·       Due Diligence: You will perform detailed financial analysis and modeling, conduct comprehensive due diligence, and prepare investment memos and presentations.

o   Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills.

 

·       Portfolio Management: Monitor the performance of portfolio companies, serve as a point of contact, and address any issues that arise.

o   Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

 

Requirements

·       Outstanding academic qualifications

·       2-4 years of experience in venture capital, private credit, investment banking, private equity, or a related field

·       Proficiency in modeling and valuation techniques

·       High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

 

 

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

 

 

 

*base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
