Our client, a not-for-profit teaching hospital serving an ethnically diverse residential neighborhood of New York City, is hiring a Nocturnist.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive medical care to patients during overnight shifts
Conduct physical examinations and assessments of patients
Diagnose and treat various medical conditions
Develop and implement treatment plans
Provide ongoing patient care and follow-up
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
Manage acute medical emergencies and stabilize patients
Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly
Requirements
MD or DO
Board certified/eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Licensed to practice in the State of New York
Post-residency experience in family or internal medicine
Ability to manage complex patient cases and make sound medical decisions
Proficiency in airway management, including intubation and ventilation
Familiarity with triage protocols and ability to prioritize patient care
The ability to work overnight shifts on a regular basis
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possessing excellent communication skills
