NOC Specialist
Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in need of a NOC Specialist for a contract-to-hire role near Salt Lake City. This role will work nights and weekends. Key Responsibilities:

Kforce has a client in need of a NOC Specialist for a contract-to-hire role near Salt Lake City. This role will work nights and weekends. Key Responsibilities:
- NOC Specialist will monitor production systems and network infrastructure to detect and diagnose issues
- Respond promptly to alerts and escalations generated by monitoring systems
- Maintain and utilize observability tools to ensure visibility for stakeholders
- Troubleshoot systems in AWS, Azure, and other environments
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to enhance existing applications and assist in testing new deployments
- Log, track, and manage incidents using incident management tools
- Conduct thorough analysis of network, server, and application problems for quick resolution
- As a NOC Specialist, you will perform routine system checks, maintenance tasks, and updates to optimize system performance
- Provide clear and concise communication regarding incident status and resolution to technical teams, stakeholders, and end-users
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during critical incidents and outages
- Identify opportunities for improving NOC processes, tools, and workflows
- Experience using case/work order management tools (ITSM, Atlassian, Dynatrace/Dataset, PagerDuty, etc.)
- Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and MAC OS
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their services
- Understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes (ITIL)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on proactive maintenance
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Detail-oriented and process-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to working nights and weekends for an overnight shift
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, overnights, and holidays as needed
