Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in need of a NOC Specialist for a contract-to-hire role near Salt Lake City. This role will work nights and weekends. Key Responsibilities:

  • NOC Specialist will monitor production systems and network infrastructure to detect and diagnose issues
  • Respond promptly to alerts and escalations generated by monitoring systems
  • Maintain and utilize observability tools to ensure visibility for stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot systems in AWS, Azure, and other environments
  • Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to enhance existing applications and assist in testing new deployments
  • Log, track, and manage incidents using incident management tools
  • Conduct thorough analysis of network, server, and application problems for quick resolution
  • As a NOC Specialist, you will perform routine system checks, maintenance tasks, and updates to optimize system performance
  • Provide clear and concise communication regarding incident status and resolution to technical teams, stakeholders, and end-users
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during critical incidents and outages
  • Identify opportunities for improving NOC processes, tools, and workflows

Requirements

  • Experience using case/work order management tools (ITSM, Atlassian, Dynatrace/Dataset, PagerDuty, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and MAC OS
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their services
  • Understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes (ITIL)
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on proactive maintenance
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and process-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to working nights and weekends for an overnight shift
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, overnights, and holidays as needed

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
