Summary:

The New Restaurant Opening Manager role falls within the Operations department, reports directly to the Director of New Restaurant Openings, and partners closely with the Vice President of Operations Services. This is a cross-functional position where you will interact regularly with every department at Base Camp, as well as Managers and Team Members, to ensure a smooth new restaurant opening.


Responsibilities:

  • NSO project management leader who helps develop training material and trains operators, trainers, and directors to deliver the material
  • Ensures the highest levels of training standards at all NSOs
  • Provides coaching and development support based on individual training performance during scheduled field visits and one-on-one calls with each NSO Lead
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with all departments to ensure that NSO timeline and tasks are executed on schedule
  • Oversees and executes initial orders to ensure budgets are on track
  • Manages hiring, onboarding, and training phases of the opening process
  • Positively supports new company initiatives and rollouts based on operations priorities
  • Demonstrates technical expertise in all facets of operation procedures
  • Collects information about successes, challenges, and opportunities of new restaurant openings and shares appropriate information to refine and improve processes
  • Road warrior role requiring travel up to 60% into the market due to our insane growth and road map for new locations, ensuring on-site presence during new restaurant openings


Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous restaurant management experience and new restaurant opening experience are strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to lead teams and achieve results through collaboration
  • Skilled in forward-thinking and planning for one to two years into the future
  • Proficient in organizing and managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office and experience with using Excel
  • Proven track record of contributing to high-performance teams and excelling as a team player
  • Expertise in assessing and prioritizing a variety of tasks, projects, and demands
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred


Physical Requirements:

  1. Able to travel for extended periods
  2. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, especially during openings
  3. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
  4. Sitting / standing / walking 8-10 hours.
  5. Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
  6. Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
  7. Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  8. Exposure to temperatures:
  9. 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators)
  10. >90 degrees Fahrenheit
  11. Ability to work in a wet and cold environment
  12. Ability to use restaurant tools and equipment
