Job Title: New Business Manager

Job Description: The position of New Business Manager reports to the Executive Vice President, Integrated Brand Services, or higher-level employee. The New Business Manager is responsible for managing all phases of the agency’s new business development process by ensuring efficient use of agency talent and resources, effective communication between all stakeholders, and will provide timely and persuasive responses to all opportunities and relevant inquiries. The New Business Manager will collaborate with multiple teams and individuals to keep deliverables on track and at highest standard within a matrix environment. The New Business Manager must possess the ability to manage up and hold others accountable to agreements.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage initial new business inquiries by conducting preliminary research, identifying the appropriate senior team leader for further vetting, and creating vetting sheet
  • Maintain Opportunity and Proposal tracking
  • Maintain WLD tracking and deliver summary reports to management
  • Present weekly WIP (Mondays)
  • Ensure that priorities, urgent matters, and deadlines are effectively communicated with the senior team
  • Process (boilerplate) NDAs and facilitate legal review/response as required
  • Partner with team lead and senior advisor on proposal development
  • Partner with client owner to accurately state SOW
  • Comprehend and communicate agency pricing structure
  • Compile all business terms and conditions
  • Facilitate contract negotiations for client agreements, amendments, renewals, referral agreements, and subcontractor agreements
  • Manage outside legal review and coordinate with 3rd party
  • Communicate key terms to senior team, client team, and functional leads as needed (update RACI, staffing matrix, etc.)
  • Participate in client onboarding
  • Participate in audit work as needed

Project Scheduling – the ability to understand the proper allocation of resources for the purpose of getting things done within a defined timeframe.

Education and Experience Required:

4 years of relevant work experience

BA/BS Degree

Requires strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.


Knowledge and Skills Required:

Ability to prioritize while simultaneously working on numerous projects

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Detail oriented and results oriented

Ability to proofread

Must be proficient in all MS Office applications
