Job Description:
This position is remote, from any US state.
Purpose: This position supports the advisor (our client) by providing status updates and processing of all new business (Life, Annuity and Long-Term Care Insurance). The New Business Manager will review incoming applications and process from start to finish.
Major Duties:
Reviewing applications for errors and following cases from submission to placement while acting as liaison between producers and carriers.
- Provide follow-up for advisors and staff on the progress of their pending applications. Correspond via phone and email while acting as a liaison between the insurance company and advisor.
- Keep accurate records of application progress and maintain an orderly space to ensure that all business is processed effectively.
- Establish and maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with other employees, clients and their staff.
Knowledge, Skills, and Responsibilities Required:
- Excellent Microsoft Office computer skills required, including word processing, spreadsheets, database and outlook. Ability to learn additional online programs.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Thorough knowledge of general office procedures and systems.
- The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is reliable, dependable, has the ability to exercise good judgment and work collaboratively in a team environment. This person will be able to work independently yet be willing to seek out guidance and review of their work. This person will be articulate, resourceful, easy to work with, and able to juggle many tasks under pressure and with frequent interruptions.
Preferred Qualifications:
A systems driven individual that maintains an analytical mind during the process of serving our client. Previous industry experience as a new business management representative, mortgage loan processing or equivalent position. Preference will go to individuals with experience in Life Insurance industry. Bachelors or a two-year degree preferred.
Compensation:
Salary and benefits commensurate with experience and attitude. Position also includes comprehensive benefits along with bonus potential.
Experience:
- CRM Software: 1 year (Preferred)
- New Business Management: 1 year (Preferred)
- Life Insurance: 1 year (Required)
Status:
- Full Time/40 Hours
- Monday – Friday
- 8:00am - 5:00pm with 1 hour lunch
- During May 1 - Sept 1, lunch hours are 30 minutes and offices close Friday at 12:30 CST.
