Network Security Administrator

Our client, a small financial services company based in Miami, is seeking a security-focused Network & Systems Administrator to manage, secure, and optimize our network and computer systems. This role is essential for upholding our security standards and operational efficiency in a regulated financial environment. This role will cover the comprehensive security responsibilities, including network infrastructure, secrets management, and desktop security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure to support organizational objectives and compliance requirements.
• Manage network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Administer secrets management tools like HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager to ensure secure storage and handling of sensitive information.
• Implement and oversee desktop security measures, such as encryption, password policies, and controlled internet access, to protect endpoint devices.
• Conduct regular security audits and compliance checks to adhere to cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements.
• Inventory and manage IT assets, ensuring effective lifecycle management and compliance with company policies.
• Respond to security incidents and breaches, leading mitigation efforts and improvements to prevent future risks.
• Develop disaster recovery plans and data backup strategies to maintain business continuity and data integrity.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Advanced knowledge of network management and security, including significant experience with secrets management and desktop security technologies.
• Expertise in managing Windows and Linux server environments, as well as client operating systems.
• Experience in IT asset management and strategic lifecycle handling of technology resources.
• Ability to assess complex network environments, identify security vulnerabilities, and implement proactive defenses.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of leading security initiatives and working effectively with cross-functional teams.
