GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Network Manager is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the organization's network infrastructure. This includes developing and implementing strategies to ensure network security, efficiency, and reliability. The position requires collaboration with various departments and the IT Director to align network operations with the overall business objectives. The role demands a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to stay abreast of technological advancements to drive innovation and ensure the smooth operation of Sinai’s network and information systems.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Oversee the acquisition, installation, maintenance, and design of LAN, WAN, and wireless network services.
  • Monitor all aspects of daily and long-term network usage, performance, equipment, and security. Coordinate the response for the resolution of any network-related problems and/or issues.
  • Evaluate and recommend network products and services for organizational needs.
  • Help develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of network infrastructure, security policies, and operational procedures.
  • Interface as needed with any outside vendors/service providers to ensure effective and comprehensive network operations.
  • Repair and maintain network connection devices as needed, (e.g., wall jacks, cable punch down, switches, cabinets, access points, etc.) to ensure secure connectivity.
  • Responsible for the structure and maintenance of technical infrastructure for the organization, including all network racks, cabinets, network devices and IT network/server facilities.
  • Provide high availability of network and telecommunication services infrastructure; file servers and other systems as required.
  • With the support of the helpdesk technician, ensure updates and maintenance processes for end-user equipment, including but not limited to PCs, tables, and cell phones, are performed regularly.
  • Manage and maintain the company phone system and local voice infrastructure.
  • Keep up-to-date IT hardware and software documentation, including but not limited to network diagrams, critical configuration, recovery strategy documentation, software and hardware inventory, and vendors/consultants' contact information.
  • Support backup infrastructure and execution, ensuring data and infrastructure backups are performed and completed according to the recovery strategy.
  • Ensure all IT hardware and software support are up to date.
  • Proactively seek out opportunities to improve existing practices, procedures, and technology.
  • Monitor the network for security threats and respond to security incidents to ensure network security and data protection.
  • Managing Mobile device Inventory and Deployment.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and implement upgrades and improvements as required.
  • Responsible for maintaining remote monitoring systems tracking and addressing any remote monitoring system alerts.
  • Provide Active Directory and Office365 account management.
  • Perform special projects as requested by Management.

Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems, preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in information technology with a minimum of 2 years in Network Management.
  • Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA Network+ for foundational network knowledge or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
  • Technical experience with network and systems administration, including but not limited to managed switches, firewalls, LAN and WAN security, IP telephony, wireless systems, Microsoft & Apple operating systems, mobile devices, Hyper-V, Windows Server management, and Cloud Service applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Able to perform under stress and when confronted with emergencies.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
  • Knowledge of current industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Experience in health care and/or senior care preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 6 hours per day; must be able to stoop, bend, stretch, and squat to access equipment; must be able to lift up to 30 pounds frequently; may be exposed to a constant noise level due to IT equipment.
