Job Role : Network Engineer with Routing , Switching and Firewall(Onsite)

Job Description

STORAGE and BACKUP ADMIN

Administer maintain troubleshoot and support large multiplatform Storage environment that includes large fiber channel SAN with multiple directors servers storage frames technologies as well as enterprise backup technologies

Perform root cause analysis for major issues and also provide workarounds to ensure business continuity

Identify analyse and resolve problems specifically on storage backup and in general cross platform environments

Change Management Prepare Implementation plan rollback plan and test plan risk and impact analysis Review the change plan and documentation prepared by peers

Perform routine planned and emergency maintenance change planning and implementation of storage data canter equipment

Fulfil service requests

Availability and capacity planning and management keep a track of uptime and capacity utilization of storage systems and publish reports to management

Execute additional tasks given to meet internal IT projects milestones and willingness to put additional hours when ever required

Ensure all services are delivered as per agreed SLAsOLAs quality and scope

Update and close tickets update documents such as handover documents root cause analysis analysis and recommendations to reports post incident reviews in a timely manner with high quality

Communicate with and log calls with vendors or 3rd parties where necessary in order to resolve issues related to storage technologies

Suggest influence and implement improvements in the environment such as issue optimization automation streamlining process etc thereby contribute to improvement of overall operations delivery and client satisfaction

Configuration of Protection groups register sources in cohesity

Plans schedules and performs proactive maintenance including hardware and software upgrades

Troubleshooting on all backup failures by analyzing the backup logs

Perform the snapshot method to restore the data for DB refresh

VMware Backup configurationtroubleshooting

SQLOrcle database backup configurationtroubleshooting

Install and troubleshoot Remote Backup Agent on all the required servers

Restore and import

Understand the concepts of backup restore archive performance tuning policy creation modification

Handle escalated technical issues related to restores

Worked on Vcentre to perform snapshot perform Validation on VMs
