Network Engineer

Title: Network Engineer II

Location: Boise, ID

Job Type: Full-time, Onsite

Duration: Long-term project with potential extension

Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain internal data communications systems, ensuring smooth functioning of network infrastructure.

Design, plan, and implement local and wide-area network solutions across various platforms and protocols, including IP and VOIP.

Lead installation of networking components such as routers and switches, ensuring adherence to best practices and company standards.

Support and troubleshoot network issues promptly, providing efficient resolutions to minimize downtime.

Collaborate with the local Boise team to address network-related requests and tickets in a timely manner.

Participate in project implementation, ensuring successful deployment of network solutions within specified timelines.

Provide training to team members as needed and assist in proposal writing for network-related projects.

Utilize network automation tools and techniques to streamline network operations and improve efficiency.

Demonstrate intermediate knowledge of Cisco ISE, WIFI, and VXLAN technologies.

Maintain meticulous attention to detail in all tasks and operations.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

3-5 years of relevant experience in network engineering, with a focus on Cisco and Arista technologies.

Proficiency in data center operations, including experience with cable management and server connectivity.

Strong understanding of network protocols and configurations, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.

Experience with network automation tools and techniques preferred.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work onsite in Boise, ID, with no remote options available.

Open to system administrators with relevant networking experience.

Nice to have: Experience with WiFi, ICE, and performing IOS upgrades.
