This position will be remote but our client wants somebody local to the Phoenix area.
Installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux operating systems, software, hardware, and related systems
Automate system administrative tasks using scripting languages such as Bash or Python to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Participate in the design and implementation of new technologies to support the Windows server and workstation environments.
Design and implement networking technology delivery systems that are secure and reliable including disaster recovery architecture, operations and highly available server and network architectures.
Support network protocols such as: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VLAN, TCP/IP, MPLS, STP, IPv4, subnetting, routing and switching.
Participate in on call rotation, normally once every 4 weeks for escalations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Practical experience related to LAN, WAN, WLAN, VLAN, VPN, MPLS and high availability/multipath/redundant routers, switches and firewalls in large Service Provider network.
Experience level knowledge of IP networking, L2/L3 network protocols, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, SNMP, Radius.
Comprehensive knowledge of L2-L7 technologies-VLANs/VLAN tagging, VTP, Spanning Tree, EtherChannel, and Port Channel.
Experience implementing monitoring solutions such as LibreNMS, Cacti, Weathermap and Zabbix. Experience with SNMPv1-3 monitoring and management tools
Experience implementing, operating, and supporting Microsoft 365 tools at both user and admin levels.
Experience implementing and managing Microsoft SharePoint with an understanding of overall architecture, hierarchy, and administration.
Understanding of networking concepts and Windows Server Operating Systems
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Experience with network configuration automation (Scripting with Pearl/Python/Bash)
Experience, building and deploying Linux servers and applications for authentication, DNS and monitoring. Such as FreeRadius, Bind and other service provider applications.
Ability to manage and prioritize tasks to ensure optimum productivity and complete assigned tasks within tasked schedules.
Stays current on the latest industry technologies, trends, and strategies; brings forward solutions and serves as a Trusted Expert.
Certificates such as CCNA, RHCSA, RHCE, LFCS, MCSE or similar preferred.
Additional experience with Palo Alto Networks, Juniper and Cisco, with certifications would be a significant bonus.
