Simpalm is looking to hire a Network Administrator for our direct client . This is a remote opportunity. As a Network Administrator you'll be responsible for maintaining and administering computer networks and related environments. You'll provide hands-on and remote help-desk support, troubleshoot network issues, and perform upgrades and installations as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintained and administered computer networks and related computing environments, including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
  • Perform hands-on and remote help-desk duties for clients such as troubleshooting desktops, printers, cables, cameras, and any other tasks assigned.
  • Perform network infrastructure upgrades, installations, and configurations as needed.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
  • Understanding of all aspects of design and implementation of corporate networking and systems infrastructure, including VPN, SDWAN, network connectivity, Internet access, email, servers, etc.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with LAN switches, including VLANs and segmentation.
  • Document network infrastructure and keep network diagrams up to date.
  • Ensure network security and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Wireless Access Points and wireless security protocols such as EAP with RADIUS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service-oriented approach.
  • Able to troubleshoot network issues from network connectivity, routing, and firewall issues, through DNS and higher-level protocols.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience with infrastructure components such as servers, storage systems, and virtualization technologies is preferred.
  • Proficient with backup and restore technologies and best practices.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in network administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience working as a Network Administrator or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and firewalls.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Fortinet experience a plus
  • Experience configuring Layer 2 and layer 3 networking with 802.1q (VLANs), 802.1af/at (PoE), 802.1d (STP), BGP, OSPF, LACP.
