Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator to manage and maintain our network and server environment. This role involves ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability of our IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining system software, monitoring network performance, and troubleshooting issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily administration of the network and server environment.
  • Install, configure, and maintain system software and hardware.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to deploy effective solutions.
  • Efficiently manage and prioritize incoming IT tickets, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Document network issues and events using standard formats.
  • Plan and implement upgrades, patches, and new applications.
  • Perform equipment installation and configuration.
  • Use scripting and basic programming to automate processes.
  • Maintain and follow disaster recovery, security, backup, and restore plans.
  • Evaluate new tools or equipment and conduct analysis/feasibility studies to guide decisions on optimizing network performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Network Administrator Certification (e.g., CompTIA Network+) is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, infrastructure, and services.
  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.
  • Proficiency in scripting and basic programming.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
