The Network Administrator will support our in-house Cisco computer network. This includes planning, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links while ensuring minimal network downtime. This person will also diagnose, resolve, and document hardware and software network problems in a timely and accurate manner and provide end user training and support when needed.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Maintain Cisco network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, wireless controllers, and access points
Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports
Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and/or e-mails regarding network connectivity problems
Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex network problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective hardware and software solutions, including off-site repair
Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs
Perform network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and patches
Prepare, maintain, and adhere to procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring network data
Support RC Willey staff on both wired and wireless network issues
Perform network system backups and recovery as directed
Perform network security audits as directed
Ability to travel to company locations for installation, maintenance. and configuration of networking equipment
All other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU WILL BRING ALONG:
4-year I.T. related degree from an accredited university, or 5-6 years of related experience and or a combination of education and experience
Cisco networking certifications a plus
Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards
Working technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
Ability to operate network component analyzers, scanners, and testers
The ability to provide hands-on hardware troubleshooting and the ability to analyze and solve problems
Understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
Self-motivated with keen attention to details and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment
