Our prestigious law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Administrator to ensure the smooth operation of our computer systems, networks, and data security. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of network infrastructure, network hardware, and will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and managing our networks to ensure optimal performance and security.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN).
• Install, configure and integrate network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and other devices using Cisco technologies.
• Conduct regular network performance tests and system audits to ensure operational efficiency.
• Monitor network performance and integrity, and resolve issues such as network crashes, slow speeds, or connectivity problems.
• Implement and maintain security and data protection measures including penetration testing and firewall management.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure minimal downtime and data loss.
• Train staff on network and information security procedures.
• Provide technical support and guidance to users, and troubleshoot reported problems.
• Keep an eye out for needed updates and ensure the network evolves with the needs of the firm.
• Collaborate with network architects to design and implement company-wide efficient and sustainable networks.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) will be a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Network Administrator, Network Engineer or similar role in a complex network environment.
• Solid background in network administration and architecture.
• In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).
• Familiarity with access control models and network security, including experience with network security devices, penetration testing, and firewall management.
• Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g., Python, Perl).
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds network tools).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, non-technical language.
