Job Title: Network Administrator

Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
  • Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs).
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, and security configurations.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and outages, and provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to identify and address network needs.
  • Implement and manage security measures to protect network data and infrastructure.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of networking technologies and best practices.
  • Support and administer third-party applications and ensure proper integration with the network.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking hardware, protocols, and standards (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
  • Hands-on experience with network management and monitoring tools.
  • Experience in security practices and firewall configurations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve network issues quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
