JOB TITLE: National Sales Manager, Independent Channel

LOCATION: Remote

REPORTS TO TITLE: Vice President of Sales

HOURS: FT Position


Position Summary: The National Sales Manager, Independent Channel, will be responsible for managing and growing our business with independent gift shops across the country. This role involves overseeing a team of direct reports and third-party representative groups, ensuring the achievement of sales targets, profitability and driving overall business growth.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Channel Management:

Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth in the independent gift shop channel.

Manage relationships with key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the channel.


Team Leadership:

Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of sales representatives.

Coordinate with third-party rep groups to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to improve team performance.

Capacity to be a successful sales leader, acting as the “business manager” of your business, including cross-functional team leadership.


Sales Planning and Execution:

Set and achieve sales targets for the independent channel.

Analyze market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly.

Prepare and deliver sales presentations to key clients and stakeholders.

Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Critical decision making, based on financial analysis of multiple scenarios to drive profitable growth, often diving into the details and understanding what comprises & drives contribution margin $ and %.


Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with marketing, product development, and other internal teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall company goals.

Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on channel performance and market conditions.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in sales management, preferably within the retail or gift shop industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth profitably.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and get things done in a fast and ever-changing environment.

  • Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform sales strategies.
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills (Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to travel as needed to key accounts, shows, NYC showroom, and Bristol, PA headquarters.
  • Ideal candidate located near Bristol, PA to come to headquarters as needed.
