Under the direction of the Vice President of Sales, the National Sales Manager is responsible for the overall B2C business activities for Danby in the United States. This includes responsibilities for achieving quarterly and annual sales and profit goals, developing distribution channels, building strategic business relationships, formulating innovative business development strategies, and providing vision for all sales strategies and their execution.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive the company’s sales volume, revenue, and profit targets with emphasis on building a strong reputation through superior customer service.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Sales and the various cross department managers and team leaders to develop short-term and long-term strategic plans, including the preparation of annual business plans and budgets.
  • Provide strong leadership to the Danby B2C organization by promoting the mission and values of the organization both internally and externally, as well as directing the adherence to values and mission by direct reports.
  • Develop and implement monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans, budgets, policies, and programs for each Institutional Channel.
  • Communicate strategic goals and objectives with direct reports.
  • Develop, manage, and nurture new business development customers/dealers and partnerships to accomplish profit and volume goals.
  • Conduct sales forecasts on a monthly basis to drive needed procurement/inventory needs.
  • Develop processes to gather continuous feedback from clients/customers to build and maintain a culture that focuses on delivering outstanding service to customers.
  • Team with Product Management to provide feedback and input on, competitive analysis, market trends, and business environment – for strategic planning processes.
  • Create product/brand segmentation and growth strategies where needed to maximize business opportunities across various vertical Channels.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field and a minimum of 10 years of direct experience leading national organizations in a senior sales/management capacity.
  • Working experience in the Retail Appliance industry or relevant verticals preferred.
  • P&L experience and decision making in regard to determining project guidelines, purpose, following through and completion and running a national sales organization.
  • A strong track record of developing and leading a comprehensive sales strategy to unlock new business within big box retailers.
