Role Overview:

As the National Director of Business Development, you will play a crucial role in expanding our company's footprint within the marine insurance industry. Your primary responsibility will be to secure new accounts with marine insurers and reinsurers by leveraging your existing network and forging new relationships. This position offers flexibility in terms of part-time or full-time engagement and involves managing both domestic and international teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Business Development: Develop and implement effective strategies to attract new clients within the marine insurance sector, focusing on insurers and reinsurers.
  • Networking and Relationship Building: Utilize your existing network within the marine insurance industry while establishing new connections to promote our services and secure new business opportunities.
  • Team Leadership: Build, manage, and lead domestic and international teams dedicated to business development, ensuring cohesive and strategic efforts across all regions.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Craft and execute marketing strategies to enhance awareness of our marine salvage, liquidation, and recovery services among potential clients.
  • Account Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for further collaboration.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the marine insurance sector, adjusting business strategies accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Significant experience in the marine insurance industry, with a proven track record of developing business in this sector. Experience in marine salvage, liquidation, or recovery is highly desirable.
  • Network: A strong existing network within the marine insurance and reinsurance industries.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to create and lead high-performing teams, with experience managing cross-functional and international groups.
