The Role

As the National Account Director, you will lead The Honest Company's sales strategy, net revenue growth, and margin goals for Walmart. The National Account Director will manage all aspects of our everyday business at Walmart including development of annual business plans to drive mutual growth for Honest and Walmart. A successful candidate excels at developing strong customer and internal relationships, developing and managing internal talent, building a long-term growth roadmap, omnichannel expertise, and desire to deliver strong results.

The role requires a candidate who is already established in the Northwest Arkansas area. We are looking for close collaboration, local insight, and the ability to build a Bentonville team.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and execute a 3-year strategic vision to scale our Walmart business.
  • Lead Top-to-Top and Line Review meetings between Honest and the Walmart Team.
  • Foster and nurture relationships between Walmart and Honest, ensuring strategic alignment and partnership.
  • Oversee the P&L from Gross to Net, judiciously managing Trade Funds and Retail Marketing investments.
  • Sell merchandising & distribution plans that grow and optimize product mix; ensures correct placements & compliance with SRP & merchandising strategy.
  • Lead new item review process and retail activities to maximize distribution.
  • Lead and drive accurate forecasting with the Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams.
  • Craft a holistic eCommerce strategy achieving ambitious physical and digital financial goals.
  • Innovate and expand Honest's presence in new store categories with trailblazing products leveraging pilot programs and Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies.
  • Lead a dynamic team to excellence through skill enhancement, organizational adaptability, and a commitment to diversity and mentorship.
  • Proactively anticipate and meet customer needs, guiding GTM plan implementation in collaboration with Sales Planning, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, and external partners.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • 10+ years of experience in CPG sales w/ cross functional experience
  • 5+ years of experience in team management and proven track record of inspiring a team to execute plans
  • 5+ years of experience selling/working with Walmart
  • 3+ years of managing brand e-commerce sales with a strategic retailer
  • Demonstrated record of achievement throughout selling career
  • Strong planning and customer management skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Understanding of category management
  • Use of syndicated and customer data sources including Retail Link, Nielsen, and IRI, and Walmart Luminate
  • Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to create relationships and effectively collaborate with HQ team members from a remote location
  • Solid understanding of P&L management, gross margin and pricing structures, impact of discounting, and trade terms
