Responsibilities
Architecture Design: Design and architect NAS storage solutions based on NetApp and Isilon EMC platforms to meet the organization's storage requirements.
Implementation: Implement and configure NetApp and Isilon EMC storage systems, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather storage requirements and design solutions that align with business needs.
Performance Optimization: Optimize storage performance and capacity utilization through proactive monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
Data Protection: Implement data protection and disaster recovery strategies, including backup and replication solutions.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of storage architectures, configurations, and procedures.
Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for storage-related issues, ensuring timely resolution.
Research and Development: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in NAS storage, evaluating their potential for implementation.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and application developers, to integrate storage solutions into overall IT architectures.
Training and Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Extensive experience as a NAS Storage Engineer, with a focus on architecture design.
Proficiency in NetApp NAS storage technologies, including configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Isilon EMC storage solutions is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of storage architecture principles, including SAN, NAS, RAID, and file systems.
Hands-on experience with storage protocols such as NFS, SMB/CIFS, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel.
Experience with storage virtualization technologies, such as NetApp FlexVol and Isilon SmartPools.
Solid understanding of data protection concepts, including snapshots, replication, and backup solutions.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex storage issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Relevant certifications, such as NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIE) or EMC Proven Professional, are a plus.
