The SPEAK Center is a renowned pediatric speech therapy clinic that is in need of caring board-certified music therapists to provide in home and clinic combo based Music Therapy services. Our mission is to provide quality services and to be the best in class provider of home and clinic based therapies. We are looking for a Music Therapy Intern to join our team.
Responsibilities
Provide music therapy services to clients with developmental disabilities with direct supervision by a board-certified music therapist
Maintain communication with supervisor and families of clients
Requirements
Passion for working with children and a genuine interest in pediatric therapy
Effective communication skills and the ability to connect with children and families
Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team environment
Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting children's growth
Hold a minimum bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy or its equivalent from an accredited college or university or proof of completion of coursework
Have completed all educational and clinical training requirements as required by the American Music Therapy Association, inclusive of pre-clinical hours completed during their academic coursework.
Ability to work as a team member within a residential or clinical setting.
