The applicant shall perform for all regularly scheduled Gospel Services, choir rehearsals, and special services as determined by the Wing Chaplain.
The applicant shall coordinate with other service music directors, musicians, and chaplains as necessary
The applicant shall work closely with other choir directors, musicians, and chaplains to maintain an up to date music library
The applicant prepare/conduct rehearsals for instrumentalists and singers for each service
Shall lead congregational and choral singing and provide instrumental accompaniment for all Gospel services and special services as determined by the Wing Chaplain
The applicant shall demonstrate integrity through a moral, upright lifestyle consistent with Christian church teachings
Qualifications:
Must be able to play and lead music from various Christian traditions including traditional, contemporary, and praise and worship
Must have the ability to perform in front of groups of any size
The ability to read music and lead a choir and congregation, while providing accompaniment on piano or organ/keyboard
Education/Experience:
Must provide a resume that includes a minimum of five years’ experience playing the piano and organ or keyboard
Must provide a letter of recommendation from an ordained clergy person and two additional letters or recommendation attesting to the applicant’s Christian character
Must have a minimum of two years’ experience directing church choirs in traditional hymns, Gospel, and current contemporary Christian music
