Responsibilities The Museum Curator should be able to coordinate and execute a variety of projects for the Museum in a timely manner and with a keen eye to detail. They need to support every facet of artifact collections management, from research and documentation to acquisition, accession, and presentation. Exhibit development and facility management are also essential oversight functions of the position. The Museum Curator must also present the history of America's space and missile programs through tours, briefings, and community speaking events to diverse audiences. They will assist in managing the museum archives and reference library, as well as provide guidance for the Museum Volunteer Association.
Qualifications
Demonstrated accomplishments as a museum professional.
Ability to communicate in an effective and engaging way.
Knowledge of industry standards within the museum field.
Familiar with Department of Air Force Heritage Program regulations, policies, and standards.
Adaptable to varied work environments.
Forward-thinking, problem-solving, solution-oriented, team-player, with strong research and writing skills.
