Chamberlain College is seeking Part Time Online Visiting Professors interested in teaching students in our MSN program. We build long-term relationships with superior nurse educators who are experts in their field and committed to providing the finest in practitioner-focused education.

Courses Of Instruction May Include

NR-516: Basic Research and Evidence-based Practice

This course explores concepts related to basic research and its application to nursing practice. Learning focuses on appraisal of research and use of

best evidence to inform care. The integration of evidence-based practice, as well as legal, ethical, and cultural issues in nursing research are emphasized within this course.

Qualifications

  • MSN and DNP or PhD in nursing degree are required
  • A minimum of 1 years online teaching experience is preferred at the graduate, post-licensure level
  • Professional Development experience preferred
  • An active unencumbered Illinois RN nursing license (Required)
  • In addition to Illinois license - a compact nursing license is preferred
  • Special consideration to those who also have RN license in CA and NY
  • Must also have Illinois RN nursing license (or willing to obtain at own expense) by first day of teaching
  • Must have subject matter expertise in the course of instruction
  • Faculty must have excellent communication, motivational, and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment

Additional Information

Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position - Online:

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $850/Earned Credit Hour to $1,950/Earned Credit Hour, depending on the candidate’s education and experience.

Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
