The Sage Group’s client, an enterprise software company that develops products for software developers, project managers, and content management is searching for a talented Motion Designer to join their in-house creative agency. They are looking for someone to help elevate their brand through innovative video and animation with collaborative team of passionate creatives.

About the Role:

As a Motion Designer, you will bring the brand to life in bold and engaging ways. From conception of ideas to shipping finished projects, you'll work alongside creative directors, producers, writers, illustrators, visual designers, and motion artists to bring life and fresh perspective to our animations and videos. Armed with Adobe After Effects and the rest of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, you will be responsible for crafting compelling motion designs to solve an array of marketing needs—from social media posts, through marketing animations, to stage-wide, multi-LED panel event graphics, and all the screens in-between.

Key Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience in motion design, with a strong portfolio and demo reel showcasing your skills and creativity.
• Proficiency in After Effects and the rest of the core Adobe Creative Suite products necessary for motion graphics deliverables (including but not limited to Adobe Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Photoshop).
• A clear understanding of animation principles, editing, and visual storytelling.
• The ability to translate conceptual ideas into elegant and engaging motion design visuals that resonate with the audience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• A passion for motion design excellence in every detail, setting the standard for excellence in craft, storytelling and final output.
• Strong understanding of video formats and codecs. Recommend best practices of files to be used across various output channels.
• Experience working with storyboards in Figma/Illustrator with further migration to After Effects using AEUX/Overlord plugins.
• Strong communicator, with the ability to articulate timelines, bandwidth, and production needs to leads and stakeholders.
• Thrive in a complex working environment, agile at scoping business needs while managing multiple projects, priorities, and timelines.
• Passionate about bringing ideas to life, approaching every project with excitement and enthusiasm.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Conceptualizing and executing motion-driven projects from ideation to final delivery.
• Succesfully collaborating with cross-functional teams (designers, copywriters, creative directors, producers) to scope, plan, and execute exceptional motion projects.
• Bringing the brand to life through engaging animations and videos that resonate with our audience.
• Crafting motion graphics for a variety of platforms and formats, including social media, marketing campaigns, and live events.
• Leveraging industry-standard tools like Adobe After Effects and the Creative Cloud suite to produce high-quality, visually stunning motion design visuals.
• Bringing ideas and designs to life, effectively using industry-standard animation principes, techniques and tools.
• Maintaining a deep understanding our client’s products and services, ensuring accurate representation in all motion graphics.
• Staying ahead of the curve by continuously exploring industry trends and techniques to maintain cutting-edge output.
• Translating creative direction intro compelling motion design concepts.
• Actively participate in our design culture, sharing/receiving feedback and refining work collaboratevily.
• Embracing an open and authentic approach to teamwork and communication.

Bonus points:

• Understanding of sound design and music editing.
• Experience with HTML5/lottie animations.
• Ability to leverage motion design systems, toolkits, scripts, and expressions.

Duration: 1 year, opportunity to extend

Location: remote, USA

Compensation: $65/hr
