About Odoo
Odoo is an open-source, enterprise resource planning (ERP) software used by 12+ million users worldwide, tailored specifically to small-to-medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Even though our product scope is tailored for SMBs, some of our enterprise customers include Toyota, Driscoll’s, NASA, AMD, and many more popular products and services that are recognized in over 120 countries.
The key value Odoo provides is through its suite of integrated business applications that all connect and work seamlessly together. Instead of a business being forced to use 10-14 standalone applications that don’t talk to each other to run their business, Odoo offers a vertically integrated software solution that enables businesses to streamline, automate, and scale all of their core processes across various departments, including sales/CRM, supply chain and inventory, manufacturing, procurement, website and eCommerce, HR, and more.
To date, we continue growing with 2,000+ daily downloads and have sustained 50%+ YoY growth as a company.
About the Job:
As our Motion Designer at Odoo, you will create unique and innovative content to raise brand awareness and help our existing users. Your day-to-day will vary between full-time production of videos and storyboarding/ideation of future videos with the content team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop video content for our various channels, including on-site, organic, paid social, events, etc., to drive marketing goals such as brand awareness, product education, lead generation, and so on
- Adhere to and manage your content project pipeline. Design, track, and produce various static and motion video deliverables from start to finish, often in collaboration with others
- Contribute to and elevate the US Marketing team’s video production process; learn and play with plugins, automation tools, etc. to streamline manual or time-absorbing chores
- Think critically about problems that require a balance between creativity and implementation (thinking vs. doing), and help guide non-technical contributors through the video production process quickly and collaboratively.
- Coordinate and direct live video streamings for events, tutorials, and trainings
- Collaborate with content writers, salespeople, systems analysts, etc., across various projects, including Product Tour videos, microcontent, and passion projects
Must-Have:
- Demonstrable video animation and editing experience supplemented with a work portfolio; the portfolio should ultimately speak to the quality of your work
- Experience in explainer videos, demonstrating proficiency in creating engaging and informative content to communicate complex ideas effectively
- Proficiency in visual design, especially in the realms of UX/UI, product, and marketing, including the creation of motion graphics and micro-interactions for elements
- Ability to communicate and synthesize creative ideas, processes, and outcomes, e.g., knowing when to use static assets, stock, or b-roll vs. when to use animated creative in a project, ability to weigh team feedback and make revisions against project deadlines, etc.
- Expert in digital media technology and editing software packages (familiarity with file formats, codecs, and color spaces, along with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Illustrator)
- Experience leading projects independently while managing deadlines around common team goals
- Creative mindset with strong attention to quality, detail, and rhythm
- Knowledge of YouTube Live, OBS, and live-streaming platforms
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Communications, Film, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Available immediately
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Project management experience
- Startup mindset: a balanced mix of self-motivation and grit, courage to try new things and see them through, knowing when and how to push the boundaries on what is safe/familiar (and when to go with what’s standard)
- Knowledge of a 3D package (Blender, Cinema4D, Maya, Maxon, etc.)
- Experience with broadcasting/streaming
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry design standards and trends
- Additional languages (Spanish preferred)
Values:
- Get-it-done attitude: You can work in a fast-paced start-up environment and are hands-on with tasks and projects.
- Open-source approach: You are open-minded, approach problems in a modular way, and can react to change with agility.
- Independent: You are a self-starter and an eager, quick, and autonomous learner.

- Company-sponsored events for groups of 6+ employees
The estimated salary range for this role is $70,000-$90,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as education, training, experience, professional achievements, business needs, and location.
