Mortgage Specialist - Remote | WFH

Overview

Join our team at the company as a Loan Closing Specialist! In this role, you'll play a crucial part in preparing loans for closing and providing essential support to our Mortgage Department. We're looking for someone who values customer service excellence and can maintain strong relationships with customers, attorneys, and other bank departments.

Essential Functions

  • Represent the Bank professionally to customers, associates, and the public.
  • Provide exceptional service to customers via in-person meetings, phone, email, or mail, ensuring adherence to bank standards and policies.
  • File correspondence and documents accurately in customer loan files.
  • Maintain, manage, and track pending and outstanding reports.
  • Perform transactions and maintenance within the bank's core system efficiently.
  • Cross-train within the Mortgage Department and provide backup support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, bank policies, and procedures.
  • Schedule loan closings with attorney offices and maintain calendar dates.
  • Prepare and review loan documents for accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Receive loan packages from attorneys, process loan variables, and deliver necessary documents to customer service.
  • Prepare daily loan closing reports and digitalize paper documents as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to contribute to the bank's success.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service, lending, or loan servicing experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy.
  • Knowledge of scanning and digitizing paper documents is a plus.

Work Environment

This position operates in a typical office environment with occasional requirements to stoop, kneel, or lift up to fifty pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
