Our client, a rapidly growing national lender, is seeking a dedicated professional to join their dynamic team. This position offers the flexibility to work from a local office or remotely.
Responsibilities
Evaluate borrower financial and credit information alongside property valuations to make informed lending decisions using established conventional, jumbo, and government underwriting guidelines.
Collaborate closely with the production team throughout the loan process to ensure timely closings.
Verify and analyze all required financial documentation, ensuring completeness of loan files.
Review appraisal reports to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
Conduct comprehensive analysis of applicant income, expenses, credit reports, and property valuations to confirm borrower eligibility.
Calculate qualifying ratios and assess creditworthiness, providing risk assessments.
Prepare detailed findings reports and maintain thorough documentation.
Handle multiple loan files simultaneously with efficiency and attention to detail.
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of experience in underwriting VA, FHA, Conventional, and Jumbo loans.
Familiarity with Desktop Underwriter (DU), Loan Prospector/Loan Product Advisor (LP/LPA), and mortgage lending processes.
Ability to perform loan calculations including DTI and LTV ratios.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
