General Position Overview
We are seeking a meticulous Mortgage Loan Closer responsible for preparing closing packages for approved loans in adherence to industry and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant to facilitate seamless loan closings.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare Closing Disclosures promptly and accurately, adhering to regulatory requirements.
Validate loan information and supporting documents to input necessary data for loan packages.
Collaborate with attorneys, mortgage personnel, and external vendors to gather and review required documentation.
Ensure all loan approval conditions are met and closing documents are in order before disbursement.
Facilitate fund disbursement to attorneys upon satisfaction of closing conditions.
Authorize loan disbursement following thorough review of executed closing documents.
Order UCDs (Uniform Closing Dataset) for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac upon loan closure.
Register loans in MERS database post disbursement.
Conduct post-closing corrections to loan files as needed to ensure investor compliance.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of bank products, services, policies, and regulatory guidelines relevant to daily operations.
Complete mandatory compliance training and uphold the bank's standards of conduct.
Perform additional duties as assigned, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Position Requirements
Preferred: Associate's Degree
Minimum of two years' experience in mortgage loan closing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer skills
Strong verbal and written communication abilities with excellent multitasking skills
Willingness to work flexible hours as required
