Terramac is looking for a Mobile Equipment Product Specialist at our Sugar Grove, IL location. You will be the primary technical resource and bridge between the Engineering Department and other internal and external stakeholders. You will combine your knowledge of technical fundamentals, hands-on expertise, and common sense to support and develop designs that meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.

What You’ll Do:

• Remote product field support and diagnosis.
• Technical writing of repair procedures and the maintenance and modification of operator’s manuals.
• Wiring harness routing, modification, and prototyping.
• Control Software testing and validation.
• Production assembly support and factory support.
• Machine performance testing.
• Participate in product design reviews.
• Product quality, reliability, durability Improvement
• Machine safety, compliance, and decal work.

What You’ll Need:

• Associate degree in a technical area or Technical School graduate preferred.
• 4+ years of related experience.
• Experience in electrical harness assembly procedures and best practices.
• Electrical wiring harness design & routing experience.
• Experience using electronic data acquisition equipment.
• Excellent verbal, written, computer, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and successfully operate in a fast-paced, team environment.

What Helps:

• Experience with mobile electro-hydraulic construction or agricultural equipment.
• Knowledge of J1939 Control Area Network protocol and OBD messaging.
• Electrical and Hydraulic Systems troubleshooting.
• Open and closed loop controls development experience.
• Experience writing technical documents.
• Experience with any publication or authoring software (Word, InDesign, OxygenXML, etc.).
• Software testing, releasing, version control, & distribution experience.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management, Product Data Management, or other vaulting & versioning system.
