Position Summary:
The PreSales Specialist role at MEVCO in North America focuses on supporting the sales team in distributing OEM electric vehicles in the mining industry. The position involves meeting sales targets, maintaining customer relationships, optimizing electric vehicle technology, and providing technical demonstrations.
Essential Responsibilities:
Sales Targets:
- Meet sales targets by actively contributing to the sales and distribution of electric vehicles in the mining sector.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Regularly engage with customers to understand their evolving needs.
Electric Vehicle Optimization:
- Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for optimizing electric vehicle usage in mining operations.
- Provide guidance and best practices to maximize the value of MEVCO's electric vehicle solutions.
Technical Demonstrations:
- Conduct detailed technical demonstrations of electric vehicle technology in the mining environment during client meetings.
- Create documentation such as training materials/ how-to guides to assist our clients in training their operators and teams on the best use of vehicles.
Business Strategies:
- Devise strategies and tactics for new business.
- Develop and manage existing accounts while identifying potential opportunities and projects.
Financial and Contractual Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial and contractual negotiations and reviews.
- Submit regular updates and reports to the Technical Director.
Travel:
- Regularly travel to customer mine sites and company offices as required (approximately 30% expected travel).
Training and Support:
- Train customers on electric vehicle technology and capability.
- Assist with routine service and troubleshooting inquiries.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in a Pre-Sales or Product Specialist/Trainer role in mining technology or the industrial sector.
- Understanding of electric vehicle technology, mining operations, or related industries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving mindset.
- Proficiency in data analysis.
- Willingness to travel to client sites.
Additional Information:
- The position is located remotely in the US or Canada.
- Expected travel is approximately 30%.
