The purpose of the Analyst, Analytics - Strategy position is to perform analysis on pricing and credit risk, loan servicing strategies, business policies, processes, and performance champion/challenger tests.
Outcomes and Activities:
This position will work from home; occasional planned travel to an assigned Southfield, Michigan office location may be required. However, this position is permitted to work at a Southfield, Michigan office location if requested by the team member
Own analytics projects end-to-end, working with stakeholders to scope the problem, analyzing the data to get insights, and communicating results
Work on high visibility and high business impact problems that directly influence Credit Acceptance business decisions
Understand and translate unstructured questions into data analysis and create a roadmap for potential data solutions
Utilize analytical tools and scripting languages (SAS, SQL, R, Python) to access and analyze data
Conduct deep dives and ad-hoc analyses to identify trends and drivers of performance to add intrinsic value to Credit Acceptance
Deliver effective presentations of analytical results to technical and non-technical audiences and partner with them to identify the right actions
Develop and automate reports to measure the performance of champion/challenger tests, policies, and processes to provide insights to multiple levels of stakeholders
Advocate for business needs with project teams, ensuring strategies are clearly understood and documented
Knowledge and Skills:
Be able to apply analytical skills to solve problems creatively
Ability to extract and manipulate large data sets
Communicate complex information to others in a way they can understand
Be self-motivated and able to perform with minimal supervision

Knowledge of loan servicing functions and credit risk management

Targeted Compensation:
Mid Level Analyst: $86,000 - $115,000 base salary + an annual bonus plan
Senior Analyst: $108,00 - $144,000 base salary + an annual bonus plan
This position is not currently open to individuals who require sponsorship now or in the future to work legally for Credit Acceptance, such as H-1b / H-4 or F-1 OPT visa holders.
