Job Description: Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Analyst

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst to join our team on a full-time basis. As a key member of our M&A team, you will be responsible for supporting the execution of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial analysis skills, a solid understanding of M&A processes, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain detailed financial models, including valuation analyses, discounted cash flow (DCF), and accretion/dilution analyses.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including financial, operational, and legal analysis, on potential acquisition targets or divestiture assets.
  • Market Research: Research and analyze industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to support transaction evaluation and strategic decision-making.
  • Deal Structuring: Assist in structuring transactions and preparing transaction-related documentation, including term sheets, presentations, and pitch materials.
  • Valuation Analysis: Assist in the valuation of companies or assets using various methodologies and tools to assess fair market value.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial statements, perform financial statement adjustments, and assess financial performance metrics.
  • Transaction Execution: Support the transaction process from inception to closing, including coordination with legal, financial, and other advisors.
  • Integration Planning: Participate in integration planning activities for completed transactions to ensure seamless operational integration and synergy realization.
  • Reporting and Presentation: Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and investment memoranda for senior management and stakeholders.

Skills Required

  • Financial Analysis: Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of industry dynamics, market trends, and competitive landscapes within the sectors of interest.
  • Research Skills: Proficiency in conducting comprehensive research and analysis using financial databases and industry reports.
