Overview: The Merchandising Specialist will work with the Alcohol Category Manager(s) to support and maintain our brand and customer experience by driving product sales through price optimization, promotional planning, assortment productivity, cost negotiations, and product placement. We are looking for an individual that is opportunistic, customer-focused and that is capable of partnering with cross-functional teams (ie. Supply Chain, Planning, Business Development, Marketing and Digital Merchandising) to surpass financial objectives. It will be imperative that this person demonstrates the problem-solving and analytical skills necessary to thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
You Will:
Work with wine, spirits, and beer wholesalers to establish cost-saving measures
Understand state-specific buying requirements
Pull and manipulate pricing data to identify discounts and optimize spend
Collaborate cross functionally with Supply Chain, Merchandising, Pricing and Operations
You Have:
Bachelor's degree required (Marketing, Finance, Business, or Economics is a plus)
1-2 years of related experienceKnowledge of Merchandising, Marketing, Financial Planning, and overall Supply Chain is preferred
Experience in convenience, CPG, or Alcohol industries a plus
Capable of taking initiative, ownership, and accountability for the business
Ability to react quickly with a strong sense of urgency
Must have strong computer skills – proficiency with Excel is required
Must be extremely detail-oriented and organized
Must have effective communication skills, both written and verbalAwareness of our current brand and product mix and initial insight to opportunities
Compensation:
Gopuff pays employees based on market pricing and pay may vary depending on your location. The salary range below reflects what we’d reasonably expect to pay candidates. A candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000
