Global Merchandising Coordinator
The Global Merchandising Coordinator will be responsible for executing merchandising plans aligned with driving category growth and achieving business outcomes. You will work with team members to ensure successful positioning and placement of specific Etsy merchandise.
About The Position
Etsy is seeking a Merchandising Coordinator who is creatively-minded and motivated by results to support and execute strategies for a range of categories and localized merchandising efforts across our portfolio of priority markets, as well as source sellers for both marketing and cross functional initiatives.

Our main objective is to analyze data and external trends to forecast purchasing patterns to drive strategic direction on global marketing strategies and influence Etsy’s onsite buying experience. You are at the center of what buyers want on Etsy and your ability to deliver actionable insights that tell this story powers the work of the marketing team from the top of the funnel (TV & PR) through to channels (CRM, Social) and onsite.
You’ll be a supporting foundational member of the Merchandising team, helping to execute the growth of our categories, across global markets.You will deliver strategic sourcing and inventory organization to promote and develop categories that support existing and new onsite experiences.

Responsibilities
- Source and organize merchandise on Etsy.com strategically based on provided data, inventory insights and seasonality that aligns with global category and marketing inventory goals
- Grow marketable inventory count to reach and meet planned targets
- Translate and articulate the “why” behind your strategic decisions, with a clear path for how they align with priorities using a combination of available internal and external insights and data
- Support DEI company strategies and goals through discovery of new sellers and curated item collections
- Execute how merchandised experiences show up seasonally and appear for customers on and off Etsy, ensuring relevant, effective and brand aligned content is always at the forefront.
- Identify merchandising styles for key and emerging shopper segments as they arise and then sharing those styles with team members
- Communicate progress of work regularly and at key milestone moments to cross-functional and intra-team partners
- Work on ad hoc merchandising-related initiatives as new priorities arise
Ideally you'll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree; preferred concentration in merchandising, fine arts or marketing
- 2+ years of merchandising, design or curation experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organization skills and proficiency in G-suite
- Effective prioritization and problem-solving
- Demonstrated collaboration and ability to work well within a team
