The Verandah Club, a private Golf and Country Club in beautiful Ft. Myers, is seeking a Merchandiser Manager to join our Team!
Salary: $60,000-$70,000 based on experience, plus Soft Good Sales Commissions and end of year Performance Bonus.

Job Purpose
Maximize sales and profitability of golf shop operations through the development and implementation of strategies, analysis, displays and appropriate reaction to sales trends, while fostering member relationships and controlling accurate inventory levels.
Duties And Responsibilities
Train, motivate and develop the golf staff with displays and buying strategies.
Ensure the Pro Shop is clean, organized and overall appearance impeccably maintained
Develop strategies to ensure member satisfaction and maximize business performance and profitability.
Manage vendor performance to maximize profitability and achieve financial objectives.
Promotes merchandise and demonstrates product knowledge to customers and assists them with any requests.
Monitor and analyze sales performance, implement strategies to drive revenue growth
Order, receive, document and process invoices for all soft goods, contract services, and events
Work directly with Golf Professional Staff for hard good sales including clubs and balls.
Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained throughout the Golf shop.
Formulate pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determine additional needed sales promotion; advising clearance sales, and studying trends.
Market merchandise by studying advertising sales promotion and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for maximum profitability.
Develop and execute seasonal merchandise plans, visual presentation guidelines and pricing strategies.
Manage availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts and maintaining inventories.
Resolve customer complaints or issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Coordinate special merchandise events including trunk shows and special programs.
Assist with member events and outside outings.
Must perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
3-5 years of golf shop merchandising experience preferred OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
In-depth knowledge of industry-specific trends and issues
