Role Overview

Mercatalyst Merchandise Coordinators are a crucial hub of communication and organization in support of our Purchasing & Central Merchandising Team. Merchandise Coordinators are focused on providing direct support of these roles through execution of tactical data entry work such as product set up, purchase order preparation, photography asset coordination, and merchandise sample coordination. This role will also provide approximately 5 to 10 English (United States) to Spanish (Mexican) translations of Product Presentations per day.


Mercatalyst is looking for a self-motivated multi-tasker who values accuracy of data entry, delivers timely communication, manages multiple deadlines, is comfortable with coordinating with vendors, and maintains a positive can-do attitude in a fast paced environment. Merchandise Coordinators are the center of cross-functional partnerships with Photography, Site Merchandising, Marketing/Integrations, and the Buying Team.


This translation work of this individual will be responsible for providing our Univision Customers with an ecommerce product experience that feels culturally genuine while highlighting the key selling features of the product. The best candidates for this role will be able to demonstrate experience communicating in both English (US) and Spanish (Mexican) in written and verbal form.


Unique Remote/Virtual Merchandise Coordination Opportunity

Mercatalyst Merchandise Coordinators are able to perform their duties on their computer from their home. Our unique processes allow this role to manage disposition of samples and execution without needing to manage cumbersome sample closets. Successful Merchandise Coordinators understand the value of strategic and purposeful communication. They are clear on their deadlines, complete their piece of the process in a timely manner, and remain attentive to ensure that tasks are completed. The best Merchandise Coordinators are ready to identify problems, proactively communicate, and implement solutions.


Mercatalyst Merchandise Coordinators operate fully remotely. The corporate office, photography studio, and warehouse that represent their primary internal collaborators are in Carrollton, TX.


Tactical Responsibilities

  • Translation of eCommerce Product Offers from English (US) to Spanish (Mexican)
  • Coordinate with Vendors to set up products and prepare purchase orders
  • Manage the disposition of photography digital assets or physical samples to support Photography Process
  • Accurate Data Entry to prepare sample orders
  • Collaborate with Warehouse Associates and Vendors to ensure completion of sample orders
  • Review Product Set Up Forms and Merchandise Offers for accuracy
  • Collaborate with peers to identify workload backlogs and triage to keep the team current with deadlines
  • Provide data entry to prepare Merchandise Offers for the fleet of websites as needed


Skills, Experience, & Education

  • Bilingual English (United States) to Spanish (Mexican) Required
  • Must be able to read, write and speak Spanish - candidates without this skill will not be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a professional deadline oriented environment
  • Demonstrated strong digital organizational skills with Google Drive or other Cloud Organizational Tools
  • Proficient in Google Suite or Microsoft Office, specifically Google Sheets or Excel
  • Retail experience with a range of consumer products is preferred
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable with change and ambiguity
