The Position

Merchandise Coordinator

Overview:

The AKIRA Merchandise Coordinator will be responsible for all style creations, and purchase order life cycle from entry to following up on delivery. This position is also responsible for the running and distribution of the weekly reporting for the wider merchandising team. This is a full time, entry level position.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for entering purchase orders and following up with the vendor to ensure on time delivery
  • Acts as the liaison between the vendor and the buyer on purchase order updates
  • Responsible for style creation and maintenance
  • Making order updates where needed
  • Following up with the buyers on past due orders
  • Compiles picture packs for store or buyers when needed
  • Maintaining purchase order tracking files
  • Uploading pricing changes
  • Assist in allocations where necessary
  • Running weekly reports
  • Ad hoc projects when needed


The Ideal Candidate is:

  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Comfortable in Excel using basic formulas and pivot tables
  • Comfortable with communicating with multiple teams
  • Successful multitasker
  • Ok with a fast past, ever changing environment
  • Interest in fashion/retail industry

Job Type: Full Time on-site with Sunday required for reporting (Friday or another day agreed upon will be given in lieu of Sundays).
