As a Mental Health Technician (MHT), you'll be an integral part of our treatment team, providing continuous care, supervision, and positive role modeling to patients across various age groups from preschool to geriatrics. Working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you'll contribute to creating a therapeutic environment that fosters patient support and well-being.

Mental Health Technicians Are Responsible For
Accurately recording vital signs.
Exercising judgment in patient interactions and reporting changes to the RN.
Following therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team and providing information for development and revision.
Employing crisis-intervention techniques, conducting MHT-led groups, and using facility-approved CPI techniques.
Assisting patients through discharge, guiding in adjusting to life changes, and helping with personal hygiene.
Complying with policies for a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment, practicing universal precautions and responding to patient care priorities.
Your Experience Matters What We’re Looking For
Education: High School Degree or equivalent preferred; or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred; Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy or appropriate therapeutic discipline.
Experience: One year of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
Additional Skill Requirements: Successful completion CPR certification and Management of Aggressive Behavior training to within 90 days of employment prior to assisting with restraining procedures. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours. Must maintain a valid driver's license in the applicable state.

Compensation
This is a full-time role and the expected compensation range is $18.00 - $25.00 hourly. We’re eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided to experience and skill level. Join us as our Mental Health Technician (MHT)
