Job Responsibilities
With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at the South Carolina Department of Mental Health, Berkeley Community Mental Health Center, 403 Stoney Landing Road, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
Under direct supervision, you will provide comprehensive and advanced mental health assessments to initiate a service plan for each patient and crisis management to Center patients and aid family members in assisting them in understanding, dealing with, or supporting the client. In conjunction with Access Center and Center clinical staff, you will identify persons in need of stabilization services; coordinate to provide Mobile Crisis and/or outreach services to individuals/their families.
You will link patients with case managers/psychiatrists to coordinate stabilization activities as needed for patients across the Center. You will participate in treatment team meetings. Assists in the formulation and development of patient treatment plans and programs. Assists in the planning and execution of mental health education programs for the general public. Performs specialized educational and training functions. within the clinical setting as designated.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements: A master’s degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences
or a related field.
Agency (Facility) Minimum Requirements: On-call required.
Minimum Requirements: Graduate level coursework in professional ethics and
psychopathology/psychodiagnostics.

Preferred Qualifications
Licensed with Post-Masters experience in a clinical setting.
Bilingual in Spanish or another language is a plus.
