Are you a skilled Medical Technologist seeking a rewarding role in clinical laboratory testing? We're thrilled to announce an opening for a Medical Technologist at our facility in Fort Pierce, FL.

Job Summary

As a Medical Technologist, you will perform stat and routine clinical laboratory testing under the direction of a Laboratory Supervisor, Manager, or Director. Your responsibilities will include analyzing proficiency testing samples, maintaining licensure and competency, performing non-technical duties such as specimen collection and processing, and supporting departmental goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, and more.

Job Responsibilities

• Become proficient with information system computer functions relative to job duties
• Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing according to established procedures
• Analyze proficiency testing samples and complete within allowable time frames
• Assume departmental responsibility in the absence of the supervisor
• Complete all required records/documentation pertaining to patient results
• Perform quality control procedures and take corrective action when necessary
• Assist in meeting department regulatory agency requirements
• Operate equipment correctly and perform maintenance as scheduled
• Monitor reagents and supply inventories and utilize them appropriately
• Handle problems and critical laboratory specimens/test results according to established procedures
  
  

Qualifications

• 2 Year/Associate Degree required
• 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology preferred
• State of Florida Technologist License required OR ability to obtain during the interview process
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist
