Medical Staff Coordinator - Remote | WFH

Overview

As the Professional Practice Evaluation (PPE) Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards within the medical staff. You will support the Medical Executive Committees through agenda development, meeting facilitation, documentation, and follow-up, while also assisting medical staff officers in fulfilling their duties.

Responsibilities

Establish and manage the hospital-wide PPE process for all licensed Independent Practitioners (LIPs), utilizing screening criteria to monitor and evaluate clinical and professional performance.

Facilitate FPPE and Peer Review activities, coordinating with medical staff leaders and managing confidential information under the direction of the Director of Medical Staff Services.

Assist in developing clinical indicators to monitor and enhance the quality of care provided by practitioners.

Maintain accurate documentation of findings and outcomes in the secure data reporting system.

Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, statutes, and medical bylaws, rules, and policies.

Educate medical staff on the FPPE process and support ongoing education initiatives.

Identify opportunities for organizational process improvements.

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree preferred.

Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience required; five (5) years of experience may substitute for an Associate's Degree.

Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.

Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
