GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION : Responsible for overseeing the template modifications for the providers’ schedules within the practice EMR. Schedule new and follow-up patient appointments as needed to support the template changes and periods of high call volume. Perform a variety of clerical duties involved in maintaining patient medical records and schedule templates in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Essential Functions
Serve as point of contact for all provider modification requests to their schedule templates within the EMR, which includes but is not limited to; changes in appointment slot count for volume adjustments, time out of office, and adjustments in the order of appointment slot types for flow of clinic and start and end times.
Communicate with providers, Office Managers and reception teams accordingly when changes are made.
Assist in the rescheduling of appointments that were a result of the template changes made.
Update the practice call calendar to accurately reflect when providers will be out of the office.
Perform Quality Assurance on the third party scheduling platform to ensure it aligns with changes made to schedule templates in the EMR.
Assist with updating provider scheduling preferences in third party scheduling platform.
Schedule and reschedule appointments for patients with attention to all insurance rules and limitations per physician bibles.
Work with physician and physician staff to ensure quality patient care and services are provided. Ensure compliance with clinic standards of quality patient care.
Record all new patient demographics and update existing accounts in EMR.
Answer inbound calls from scheduling queues, redirecting to appropriate departments as needed.
Create EMR entries for cancelled appointments.
Cancel patient appointments as directed by patients, providers, or Service Center Manager.
Complete all scheduling tasks, messages, requests, referrals, and faxes.
Return voicemails as well as making second and third attempts to patients who have left voicemails.
Confirm Appointments as needed.
Process and complete online appointment scheduling
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education :
High School diploma
Experience
Previous experience in a medical office setting
Proficient computer skills – Outlook, general Microsoft Office functionality, copy & paste function, ability to move in and out of applications with ease

Physical Demands
