$15.00/hr - $16.50/hr
Description
Schedule patient appointments for consultations, examinations, treatments, medical procedures, and surgeries.
Efficiently manage the calendar of healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with medical practitioners to determine the availability for appointments and adjust schedules as necessary.
Handle incoming calls, emails, and faxes for scheduling requests.
Maintain proper and up-to-date patient records.
Confirm scheduled appointments with patients.
Liaise with medical staff to ensure optimal patient care and smooth daily functioning.
Ensure patient insurance and medical records are updated accurately.
Notify patients and staff regarding cancellations and rescheduling.
Provide information to patients regarding the necessity of medical forms and documents.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional qualification in medical administration is a plus.
Previous experience as a medical scheduler or similar role in the medical field.
Sound knowledge of medical terminology and hospital health and safety standards.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and patient management software.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
